   Mayor and Council announce New City Administrator

Mayor Becky Anderson and City Council members have announced the appointment of Kristi Northcutt to be Lindsborg’s next City Administrator.  The appointment will be effective December 22, 2021. Ms. Northcutt will succeed longtime City Administrator Greg DuMars.

Northcutt’s career includes extensive experience in community management for the past eight years. She served as Senior Director of Community Relations for Anthem, Arizona – a master planned community with 29,000 residents north of Phoenix.  She has also previously served as Marketing Communications Coordinator at K-State Olathe; Public Relations Coordinator for Salina Public Library; and Director for Development and Alumni Programs at Bethany College. Northcutt’s experience includes financial management; customer and facilities management; oversight of parks, recreation, and tourism events; legislative liaison work; and leadership on water and wastewater issues. She has been recognized nationally for her work in communications and holds a bachelor’s degree from Bethany College and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Baker University. She is a board member of 3CMA (City-County Communications & Marketing Association).

Northcutt said, “I am honored to serve Lindsborg as the next City Administrator and am grateful to the City Council and Mayor Anderson for placing their trust in me. I have always had a special connection to Lindsborg and its residents and am excited to excel in this role; but I also am thrilled for my family to be part of this extraordinary community that has had such a huge impact on my life and career.” 

According to Mayor Anderson, the search process was very competitive, and it was clear that candidates found Lindsborg to be a great place to live.  After an intensive interview process, resume screening, reference interviews and an extensive background check, Northcutt was selected as the top candidate. Mayor Anderson stated, “By unanimous decision the City Council selected Kristi Northcutt as our new City Administrator. As we look to the future with our new comprehensive plan the Council is looking forward to having Kristi lead Lindsborg into our next chapter.” 

Northcutt also stated, “With the City’s talented staff alongside me, and the community’s unwavering commitment to excellence, I am confident that Lindsborg’s best days are yet to come, and I am proud to once again call this community home.”
