Birger Sandzén is one of 8 Wonders of Kansas in Art because of his unique landscape paintings featuring bold brushwork and vibrant color and because of his lithographs, block prints, and drypoints.

Winner in 8 Wonders of Kansas, the Hemslöjd is an "Adventure in Swedish Tradition." Browse the gift shop that overflows with traditional, unusual and practical Swedish gifts, crafts, housewares and more. Tour the workshop and visit with the folk-artist or craftsmen as they make Dala horse signs and other specialties.

Since 1984, Hemslöjd has handcrafted personalized Dala Horse signs for homes and businesses all around the world. Among their many Scandinavian items, they offer traditional Dala Horses direct from Sweden. Over the years the hand carved and painted Dala Horse has become a symbol of authentic Swedish handicraft and one of Sweden's most popular souvenirs.

Finalist in 8 Wonders of Kansas History, the Old Mill houses Oscar Gunnerson's concrete sculptures and Anton Pearson's Scandinavian flat plain figure carvings.

The museum preserves the early heritage of McPherson County. The museum collects, preserves, researches, exhibits and interprets materials related to this heritage with special emphasis on the period from 1870 to 1910.

The Red Barn Studio

The Red Barn Studio was the working studio for professional artist and craftsman Lester Raymer (1907 - 1991). The Red Barn Studio is filled with Raymer's art and handiwork, from paintings and printers to ceramics and metalwork, from wood carving to stitchery, furniture and jewelry. A finalist in 8 Wonders of Kansas Art.

The Red Barn also offers an Artist-in-Residence program. The Artist-in Residence program at the Red Barn Studio offers visual artists and craftsmen, musicians, writers, and performer the opportunity to pursue their particular art form while being surrounded by the inspiring environment of Lester Raymer's Red Barn Studio. The Raymer Society offers the participant the use of a small apartment and studio space for periods from one week to several weeks.

The Brickstreet Gallery features Jim's fine art black and white and color photography. Turner Photography began in 1972 and continues to be a full-time professional photographic studio servicing Lindsborg and the surrounding areas.
