The Messiah Festival of the Arts proudly announces the major concert events and theme for its 2018 season. This year's Festival is titled "Community" and will feature a wide variety of art, music, and theatrical events beginning March 22 and continuing through Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018.
This year's festival features two new events to experience. The Messiah Festival is excited to announce the first Messiah Sing-Along on Palm Sunday, March 25, at 3 p.m. in Presser Auditorium. Scores will be available for purchase at the door. Sing along with the featured soloists, the Bethany Oratorio Society Chorus, and the full Bethany Oratorio Orchestra to one of the most beloved choral works in Western music. Tickets are $10. Scores are an additional $10. On Good Friday, March 30, the Bethany Oratorio Society is bringing St. Matthew Passion to a more sacred setting as it was originally presented. The performance will take place in Bethany Lutheran Church at 7:30 p.m. This is a one-of-a-kind event. Tickets are $20 and $30 and seating is of limited availability.
