The new Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) Basin was completed and brought into operation in mid September and is serving as the temporary aeration basin for treatment of wastewater.  Reconstruction work has begun on the current aeration basin with completion estimated in three months.

The Belt Filter Press (BFP), a new installation that reduces liquid in biosolids (sludge), is now in operation.  The BFP plays an intricate part in processing that helps in reduction of loads hauled, which in turn saves fuel, labor, wear on equipment and minimizes compaction to fields (image below)

The new Emergency Generator is in place and will provide the facility with sufficient electricity to maintain the entire plant in the event of a power outage. The Generator turns on automatically when electricity is lost and turns off when electricity is restored.

The new maintenance shop and garage for the plant is near completion.  The previous shop has been converted to a control room for various pumps, blowers and mixers that play an integral part of the plant process.
