Lindsborg Volunteer Fire Department
The Lindsborg Volunteer Fire Department currently consists of 20 members. Volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and must respond to a page if they are within the boundaries of McPherson County Fire District 8. The Lindsborg Fire Department responds to approximately 75 calls per year within the city limits as well as in the County.

Department Training
The Lindsborg Fire Department holds training on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month to keep the fire personnel up to date and familiar with equipment. The department also has all members in good standing by keeping them certified through the State of Kansas as FireFighter level 1 & 2.

Equipment & Storage Facility
The Lindsborg Fire Department houses their apparatus at the Lindsborg Safety Center and has both city and rural designated equipment. Some of Lindsborg’s early fire fighting equipment is on display at the Smoky Hill Museum for anyone to view.
